Calvary Church of the Quad Cities will conduct a patriotic event called Celebrate America on Sunday, July 3.
Celebrate America will be held outside the church's 180 Zone building, located at 4700 53rd St. in Moline.
The free celebration begins at 5 p.m. and will run until 9:30 p.m.
"We hope everybody comes and enjoys it, this is a family event," said Penny Nelson, business manager at the church.
Activities include inflatable toys, volleyball, basketball, face painting, a dunk tank and horseshoes. Concessions, such as hot dogs, funnel cakes and cotton candy, will be available for a small fee.
Patriotic music also will be featured throughout the day. In addition to performances by the CCQC choir and orchestra band, Sounds of Victory will be featured as well.
Nelson said they expect more than 1,000 people to attend the event.
Those who plan to attend are advised to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets for seating at the event. Fireworks will begin at dusk.
"This is a great opportunity for everyone to relax and have some fun," Nelson said.
CCQC is an interdenominational fellowship that was founded in 1995. It is home to about 39 different religious backgrounds.
