Web Design

After only a month on the customer support team, I was promoted to a web design position at TownNews.com in December of 2002. Since then, I have designed countless web sites for newspapers across the country. To visit some of the newspaper sites that I have designed, please visit my TownNews.com demo site at http://ksteuck.townnews.com.

In additiona to newspaper websites, I also have experience in designing sites for businesses using basic HTML. I also have some experience in designing sites using FLash technology.

Below are samples of my site designed, gathered since 2001.

Business Sites
Each business site I build it custom designed to meet the look and functionality necessary for the individual company. These sites are prominently branded with the companies logo and involved clean, user-friendly navigation.

Flash Sites
Flash is a Macromedia, vector-based product that allows animations to be displayed at high speeds on web sites. Newer browsers are built with the plug-in necessar for Flash (.swf) files to be viewed. Older brosers will direct the user to Macromedia's website so they can download the necessary program. I tend to use Adobe's LiveMotion product to create Flash files, simply because it is more affordable to own.

Miscellaneous Sites
These sites are composed primarily of class projects. They are displayed to provide examples of my knowledge of cascading style sheets (CSS) and templating.
